ORDER

This petition has been filed to set aside the impugned order passed by the respondent dated 17.01.2018 and consequently direct the respondent to grant necessary permission and provide adequate police protection for conducting Kabadi Tournament on 09.02.2018 at 06.00p.m to 10.02.2018 at 12.00 a.m, at CSI Church Ground, Nanguneri, Tirunelveli District.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the respondent has rejected the representation submitted by the petitioner stating that there is a possibility of law and order problem and according to the learned counsel, that cannot be a proper reason for rejecting the petitioner's representation.

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent has submitted that the petitioner may be directed to file a fresh representation and on such representation, the respondent will consider the same and pass appropriate order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the impugned order passed by the respondent dated 17.01.2018 is set aside. The petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation before the respondent on or before 29.01.2018 and on submitting such representation, the respondent has to consider his representation and pass appropriate orders on or before 02.02.2018. If necessary, the respondent can impose the restrictions and conditions as mentioned in the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and Ors, reported in [(2000) 7 SCC 282]. 5.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
