ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the appeal of the petitioner dated 23.09.2016 in Na.Ka.No.4159/2016 within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.K.N.Govardhanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.According to the petitioner, he has filed an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Pudukottai District on 23.09.2016 as against the order passed by the Tahsildar in a patta proceedings. Since no order has been passed, the present writ petition has been filed for the relief set out earlier. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that the appeal is pending from 2016, the respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 23.09.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving opportunity to both the parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
