ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for an alleged offence punishable under Section 420 IPC in Crime No.340 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. The case of the prosecution is that this petitioner Selvarani (A2) and A1 in this case were running Add-Win Women Welfare Social Trust and they have collected around Rs.2,87,300/- from various persons by floating certain schemes and they have cheated the participants of the scheme.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this petitioner has nothing to do with the offence and that the petitioner had only withdrawn the amount and handed over the same to the defacto complainant's friend by name Kumar on 11.07.2014.

5. On the contrary, on reading of the complaint in this case, it is seen that this petitioner had acted in collusion with A1 in cheating various subscribers. Taking into consideration the serious nature of allegations against this petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to her. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
