(Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN,J.) By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. 3.The petitioner claims to be a social activist and came forward to file this Writ Petition styled as a 'Public Interest Litigation' stating among other things that the first respondent, vide memo dated 21.11.2014 in Na.Ka.No.Aa1/9058/2013, has directed the second respondent to cause inspection of Thonukal Village, as the suitable lands are available for issuance of house site patta with a further direction to inspect and issue patta. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the Revenue Inspector caused inspection and also enclosed the list of beneficiaries and thereafter nothing is happened. The petitioner in this regard has also submitted a representation, dated 16.12.2017 to the Collector of Tuticorin District in person and despite receipt and acknowledgment, no response is forthcoming. Hence, he came forward to file this Writ Petition.

5.This Court has heard the rival submissions and perused the materials placed before this Court.

6.Though the petitioner prays for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in his representation or in this Writ Petition, directs the second respondent to take appropriate steps for identification of the land in Thonukal Village and thereafter, identify the beneficiaries and pass appropriate orders for issuance of patta in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
