This writ petition has been filed seeking permission to conduct the "Adalpadal" 31.01.2018 at night 08.00 to 12.00 hours and to give police protection on the same to the Arulmigu Sri Oorkattu Sudalaimadasamy Kovil, at Tenkasi, Tirunelveli District, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 22.12.2017 and 02.01.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the Member of Vizha Committee of Arulmigu Sri Oorkattu Sudalaimadasamy Kovil, at Tenkasi, Tirunelveli District. The devotees and many tourists from various parts are celebrating the Thai Festival for the past few years and this year also they have decided to conduct the "Adalpadal" on 31.01.2018 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

at about 08.00 to 12.00 hours and seeks police protection for the same.

4.Considering the said submissions, the respondent/Inspector of Police, Tenkasi Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a week.

5. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
