Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a writ or order or direction or in the nature of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle interest at the rate of 6 percentage per annum for the belated payment of petitioners terminal benefits including Gratuity, Terminal Leave salary, commuted value of pension and provident fund form the date of his retirement to till the date on which the said benefits were settled to him and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice. O R D E R
This contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order, dated 10.08.2021, made in W.P.(MD) No.13949 of 2021.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents made a submission pursuant to the orders of this Court, 80% of the benefits due to the petitioner have been settled and the remaining benefits will be settled within a period of six weeks.
3. Recording the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, the contempt petition is closed. However, after settlement of the benefits, if any grievance exists regarding calculation or otherwise, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Competent Authority for redressal of his grievance in the manner known to law.
