Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court S-12 to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to settle interest at the rate of 6 percent per annum for the belated payment of petitioners terminal benefits including Gratuity, Terminal Leave Salary and Provident Fund from the date of his retirement to till the date on which the said benefits were settled to him and pass such further or other orders as this Honourable Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice. This contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order, dated 25.08.2021, made in W.P.(MD) No.15114 of 2021.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent made a submission pursuant to the orders of this Court, 80% of the benefits due to the petitioner have been settled and the remaining benefits will be settled within a period of six weeks.
3. Recording the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, the contempt petition is closed. However, after settlement of the benefits, if any grievance exists regarding calculation or otherwise, the petitioner is at https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
Cont.P.(MD) No.419 of 2022 liberty to approach the Competent Authority for redressal of his grievance in the manner known to law.
