ORDER

In connection with non selection of the petitioner for dealership in LPG of Bharat Petroleum Corporation at Madurai in the category of Open(Women) Marketing Plan 2008-2010, the petitioner has lodged a complaint on 04.12.2017 before the first respondent herein. Since the complaint has been kept pending, without any final order being passed, the present writ petition has been filed.

petitioner and Mr.Natesh Raja, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submitted that the complaint itself is not maintainable before the first respondent herein. Since the petitioner is an unsuccessful candidate and as such he cannot invoke the jurisdiction of the first respondent.

4.It is needless to point out that whenever any representation / application is made to the statutory authorities, the respondents are bound to dispose of the same in one way or other, rather than keeping it pending indefinitely.

5. In view of the limited prayer sought for and without going into the merits of the claim, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's complaint dated 04.12.2017 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. Such an exercise shall be done after giving due opportunity to the petitioner.

7.With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
