PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to grant permission for re-construction of the Arulmighu Pathirakali Amman Temple which is situated in the property comprised in S.No.476/2 at Pacode Town Panchayat, Vilavancode Taluk, Kanyakumari on the basis of the resolution passed by the 2nd respondent vide resolution No.297, dated 27.02.2025 and consequently issued recommendation to the 1st respondent by the 2nd respondent proceeding in Na.Ka.No.74/2025/A1, dated 07.03.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the first respondent to grant permission for reconstruction of Arulmighu Pathirakali Amman Temple, which is situated in S.No.476/2, Pacode Town Panchayat, Vilavancode Taluk, Kanyakumari, on the basis of the resolution passed by the second respondent on 27.02.2025.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, it is a family deity and the building has become dilapidated and now they are seeking the permission of the first respondent to reconstruct the temple. The application is pending with the first respondent from 07.03.2025 onwards. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent is directed to consider the recommendation of second respondent and pass orders within a period of 6(six) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. 2/4
