The petitioner, apprehending that the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation is making attempts to locate a liquor shop at Cumbum-Kumuli Main Road, near Devibala Theatre Junction, Cumbum, Theni District, came forward to file this Writ Petition https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

styled as a 'Public Interest Litigation'.

2.Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 3.

3.Mr.B.JameelArasu, learned counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the second respondent, on instructions, would submit that as of now, there is no proposal to open a TASMAC liquor shop in the place in question.

4.The said submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent, on instructions, is placed on record. Hence, nothing further remains for adjudication in this writ petition and therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is dismissed.
