Respondents Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent ie., the Principal Secretary to Government, Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 07.11.2017 regarding re-fixation of her pay on par with her junior Tmt.Ambiga in the cadre of Extension Officer(Social Welfare) as per the directions already issued by the Director of Social Welfare, Chennai in his proceedings No.4411/No.3(4)/2012 dated 23.05.2013 and to refix her pension and to send revised pension proposals, within a specified time frame.

ORDER

The petitioner is a retired Government employee. Her grievance is that even though she was entitled to get promotion and consequential pay benefit on par with her junior, it has been denied.

2.Therefore, she submitted a representation on 07.11.2017 through proper channel for re-fixation of her pay on par with her junior Tmt.Ambiga in the cadre of Extension Officer (Social Welfare). The petitioner would also refer to the directions already issued by the Director of Social Welfare, Chennai vide proceedings dated 23.05.2013. However, no orders were passed till date. 3.The first respondent is the authority competent to pass orders in this regard. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 07.11.2017 on or before 30.04.2018. The writ petition is allowed as indicated above. No costs.
