The writ petitioner is the wife of the life convict for attending the marriage of the daughter and she has sought for one month emergency or ordinary leave without escort through her representation dated 27.01.2025. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, states that the representation of the petitioner been considered in accordance with law and six days emergency leave with escort granted to the life convict to attend the marriage of his daughter, which is scheduled to be held on 02.03.2025. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further states that the detenue can inform the prison authority about the convenient period for which he wants six days emergency leave for the purpose of attending his daughter's marriage.

3.Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and the purpose for which the leave sought, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner shall be granted emergency leave for six days without escort to attend his daughter's marriage and six days shall be in and around the date of marriage and as per the request of the convict. 4.With the above observation and direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
