ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.60 of 2023, dated 07.03.2023 and file the final report.

2. According to the petitioner, she is the defacto complainant and she lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 07.03.2023 and based on the complaint, FIR has been registered in Crime No.60 of 2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 323, 506(1), 499 and 500 of IPC and thereafter, no proper investigation was conducted. Hence, the petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that based upon the complaint given by the defacto complainant viz., the petitioner herein, the respondents have registered FIR in Crime No.60 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 323, 506(1), 499 and 500 of IPC. There are totally 14 accused involved in this case and therefore, he seeks further time of two months to complete the investigation and to file a final report. 2/4

Recording the above submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents, it is appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of this order. Accordingly ordered.

5. With the above said directions, the criminal original petition is allowed. No costs.
