This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to give permission and Police Protection for conducting Sendaimelam Programme in front of the Car Festival on 30.01.2018, for the Arulmigu Sri Muppidathiamman Temple situate at Padaiyatchi Street, Sengottai Taluk, Vadakarai - 627 812, Thirunelveli District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2018.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the village people are celebrating the festival by conducting "Sendaimelam programme" in front of the Car Festival, on 30.01.2018. They have decided to celebrate the festival at the above said place and for that they have already given a representation dated 06.01.2018 to the respondents and no order has been passed till now.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has not raised any serious objection.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 06.01.2018 and dispose of the same at early by keeping in mind the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and Ors, reported in 2001 - 1 - L.W. (Crl.) 233.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
