PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records from the Labour Court at Madurai herein in its order in C.P.No.55 of 2015 dated 18.02.2020 and quash the same.

ORDER
This Court, on the earlier hearing on 22.01.2025, has passed the following order:

"Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner Management is ready to pay the award amount of Rs.1,17,938/- and has brought the Demand Draft for the said amount in favour of the respondent. 2.As per the order of this Court dated 01.03.2022, already 50% of the amount had been deposited by the petitioner Management, for which, interest amount would be less than Rs.40,000/-. Therefore, this Court suggested the learned counsel for the respondent to accept a sum of Rs. 20,000/- towards interest amount as a full and final settlement. 3.The learned counsel for the respondent, after getting instructions from the respondent, has agreed to receive a sum of Rs.20,000/- towards interest along with the award amount of Rs.1,17,938/- in full and final settlement.
He has also received the Demand Draft drawn in favour of the respondent towards the part settlement of the award amount. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks time to bring Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.20,000/- in favour of the respondent. 5.Post the matter on 27.01.2025."
2.Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that as per the above direction, the petitioner has received a sum of Rs.20,000/- by way of demand draft apart from a sum of Rs.1,17,938/- received on 22.01.2025. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that 50% of the award amount has already been deposited by the petitioner Management 2/4
before the Labour Court and the same may be permitted to be withdrawn. The learned counsel for the respondent has also agreed for the same as the entire award amount has been settled to him.
4.In view of the settlement made above, the petitioner is granted with liberty to withdraw the amount already deposited by the petitioner Management before the Labour Court. The Labour Court, Madurai is also directed to return the amount to the petitioner.
