This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first to third respondents to revert the patta bearing Patta Nos.23352 and 27669, in respect of S.Nos.3/1B1 and 3/1B2, dated 24.10.2025, to its earlier position standing in the petitioner's name prior to its disposal.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The petitioner herein had preferred Writ Petitions in W.P.(MD) Nos.22226 and 22624 of 2025 before this Court challenging the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer and the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar dated 21.09.2024 and 20.12.2024 respectively. This Court, by order dated 31.10.2025, quashed the said proceedings with a direction.
4. According to the petitioner, the land in question in Survey No. 3/1, measuring an extent of 3 acres and 76 cents, situated at Thanakkankulam Village, Thiruparankundram Taluk, Madurai District, stood in Patta No.1568 prior to the changes made. Thereafter, the writ petitions were disposed of by directing re-adjudication by the Revenue Divisional Officer and further directing that the revenue records, as on the date of the order, i.e., 31.10.2025, shall not be modified.
5. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that changes were effected on 24.10.2025, whereby Survey No.3/1 was subdivided into Survey Nos. Page No. 3 of 6
3/1B1 and 3/1B2. However, the said subdivision, which took place on 24.10.2025, was not brought to the notice of this Court at the time of disposal of the above Writ Petitions on 31.10.2025. For the said reason, as the changes effected on 24.10.2025 were not brought to the notice of this Court, an order is now required to be passed reverting the status of the property to its position as it stood prior to 24.10.2025.
6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first to third respondents and the learned counsel for the fourth to thirteenth respondents.
7. This Court is of the view that since this Court has already directed re-adjudication of the matter by the Revenue Divisional Officer in W.P.(MD) Nos.22226 and 22624 of 2025, by order dated 31.10.2025, no further order is required to be passed in the present Writ Petition. However, the re-adjudication shall be concluded by the Revenue Divisional Officer without being influenced by the changes effected on 24.10.2025.

8. With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. [K.SURENDER, J.] 04.02.2026 JEN Index : Yes / No To 1.The Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai District.
