ORDER

Seeking transfer of investigation in Crime No.40 of 2025 from the file of the fourth respondent to the file of the first respondent, this criminal original petition is filed.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner herein is the defacto complainant, on whose instance, Crime No.40 of 2025 has been registered on 20.01.2025 by the fourth respondent police with respect to the alleged misappropriation of an amount of Rs.21,00,000/- by way of digital fraud by the accused persons. However, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.), on instructions, submitted that after registering the FIR, two banks were identified by the respondent police, on 2/4

whose request the bank accounts were already freezed. It was further submitted that the investigation is still ongoing.

4.Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the fourth respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.40 of 2025 as early as possible and conclude the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order and also appraise the progress of the investigation to the third respondent on every Friday. The third respondent is also directed to monitor the progress of the ongoing investigation undertaken by the fourth respondent.

6.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. 06.02.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Rmk 3/4
