ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed by the petitioners to call for the records in F.I.R in Crime No.66 of 2023 on the file of the 1st respondent police dated 28.05.2023 and to quash the same.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsels on both sides submit that already the matter has been compromised between the parties. The parties are belongs to the same village and during the temple festival, there was a wordy quarrel arose between them thereby a complaint was lodged and F.I.R in Crime No.66 of 2023 registered for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 323 and 324 of IPC. Thereafter, the parties entered into compromise. A counter case was also lodged and F.I.R. in Crime No.65 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 506 (1) of IPC and Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 registered and in the counter case also they entered into a compromise.

3. This Court also enquired the petitioners and the victims / respondents no.2 to 4 as well as the defacto complainant, who are present in the Court and they have no objection to quash the petition since they have entered into a compromise.

4. A compromise memo, dated 07.02.2025 signed by the parties, is filed before this Court and this Court also perused the terms of compromise entered into between the parties.

5. In view of the above said compromise and considering the nature of offences, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the F.I.R registered in Crime No.66 of 2023 on the file of the 1st respondent is quashed. The memo of compromise, dated 07.02.2025 filed by the parties, shall form part of this order.
