: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned communication issued by the first respondent in his proceedings TRU/551/01/2020 (01/20) dated 08.01.2020 and quash the same, consequently direct the respondents to issue the passport within a time stipulated by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for respondents 1 and 2 and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 3 and 4.

2.The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned communication issued by the first respondent in his proceedings TRU/551/01/2020 (01/20) dated 08.01.2020 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to issue passport within a time stipulated by this Court.

3.Even in the impugned notice it is stated that there is an adverse police verification report received from the Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur, stating that the petitioner was involved in Crime No.284/11 u/s. 341 of IPC r/w. 3(1) of PPDL Act. Admittedly, there is a case in Crime No.82 of 2013 [S.T.C.No.822 of 2017], pending for trial before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai.

4.In view of the above, it is open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate Court, seeking the same relief and get appropriate orders.
