This petition has been filed to direct the the respondents to grant permission to perform the programme of "Adal Padal" on 13.02.2018 "Theemithi and Mayana Kollai Eduthal Vizha" at Arulmigu Sri Angalamman Masi Periyasamy Thirukoil is situated at Mettumahathanapuram, North Omathur, K.R.Puram, Karur District and to provide adequate Police Protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2018.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the village people are celebrating the festival by conducting "Adal Padal" programme such as cultural programme, on 13.02.2018. They have decided to celebrate the festival at the above said place and for that they have already given a representation dated 20.01.2018 to the respondents and no order https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

has been passed till now.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has not raised any serious objection.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 20.01.2018 and dispose of the same at early by keeping in mind the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and Ors, reported in 2001 - 1 - L.W. (Crl.) 233.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
