This writ petition has been filed seeking permission to conduct the "Adalpadal" on 21.01.2018 at about 06.00 pm to 12.00 am and to give police protection on the same to the Arulmigu Kalladi Amman, Muppidathi Amman Thirukovil, is situated at Krishnapuram, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tirunelveli district, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.12.2017. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the Committee Members of Arulmigu Kalladi Amman, Muppidathi Amman Thirukovil, situated at Krishnapuram, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tirunelveli district. The Villagers are celebrating the temple Festival for the past few years and this year also they have decided to conduct the "Adalpadal" on 22.01.2018 at about 06.00 pm to 12.00 a.m. and seeks police protection for the same.

4.Considering the said submissions, the respondent/Inspector of Police, Kadayanallur Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a week.

5. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
