This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to grant permission forthwith and police protection for "Cultural Programme" from 02.02.2018 to 11.02.2018 and "Innisai Kacheri" scheduled to be held on 12.02.2018 at night, in connection with "Church Festival" of Saint Joseph Church at Koottapauli, Radhapuram Taluk, Thirunelveli District in the light of representation of the petitioner dated 27.12.2017 and 17.01.2018.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the village people are celebrating the festival by conducting "Innisai Katcheri" programme such as cultural programme, on 12.02.2018. They have decided to celebrate the festival at the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

above said place and for that they have already given a representations dated 27.12.2017 and 17.01.2018 to the respondents and no order has been passed till now.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has not raised any serious objection.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner, dated 27.12.2017 and 17.01.2018 and dispose of the same at early by keeping in mind the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and Ors, reported in 2001 - 1 - L.W. (Crl.) 233.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
