(Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM,J.) Heard Mr.S.Arunachalam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pay the petitioner Rs.31,171/- towards 30 days of Earned Leaves surrendered on November, 2010 and November, 2011, by calculating the wages for the same based on the monthly wages payable to him on the month of his retirement ie., April, 2012 together with 18% interest per annum.

3.The petitioner has requested for payment of the earned leave surrender before the respondent and in this regard, a representation has been given by the petitioner. Since no response was forthcoming, the petitioner came forward to file this present Writ Petition.

4.Since the matter is pending for consideration before the respondent, we direct the respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 07.11.2013, 09.11.2013 and 04.12.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
