ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to permit to conduct the Annadhana Kodi Vizha Functions to be held on 22.04.2024 in Arulmigu Sri Ammayee Amman Temple at Ammankudi Village, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District under their supervision, granting permission and Police protection to conduct the cultural programme namely "Siruthondar Drama" scheduled to be held on 23.04.2024 on the basis of the Petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2024.
2.The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner had filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction against the Respondents for conducting Annadhana Kodi Vizha Functions to be held on 22.04.2024 with regard to the festival of Arulmigu Sri Ammayee Amman Temple at Ammankudi Village, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District and also Police protection to conduct cultural programme namely "Siruthondar Drama" scheduled to be held on 23.04.2024 on the basis of the Petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2024. Till date, permission had not been granted. Therefore, he forced to file this Writ Petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, submitted that the Respondents have no 2/4
objections to grant permission. He further submitted that the circular issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu/Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, in Rc.No.007301/General I(I)/2019, dated 09.04.2019 is in force regarding organizing the events and cultural programme. He undertakes to follow the said circular. He also seeks payment of appropriate fee for providing Police protection, as per G.O.Ms.No.139, Home (PoI.VIII) Dept. dated 04.03.2019.
4.Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side), the Respondents are directed to pass appropriate orders, within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order as per the circular issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu/Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, in Rc.No.007301/General I(I)/2019, dated 09.04.2019. The Petitioner is directed to comply with conditions and the Organisers have to pay necessary charges for deployment of Police force, as per G.O.Ms.No.139, Home (PoI.VIII) Dept. dated 04.03.2019. 5.In the result, this Writ Petition is allowed.
