ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order issued by the first respondent directing the petitioner to submit the passport on the ground that while filing an application for renewal of passport the petitioner has suppressed the fact that the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
criminal case is pending against him. In the above circumstances, the an impugned notice was issued to the petitioner. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that passport was seized by the respondent authorities and proceedings has been initiated to impound the passport and a show cause notice was also issued to the petitioner on 06.11.2017.
3.In view of the fact that already the passport has been seized by the police and the impounding proceedings is pending with the first respondent and show cause notice was also issued to the petitioner, it is up to the petitioner to file his objection to the show cause notice issued to him and on filing such objections the first respondent is directed to consider the same and pass suitable orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the objections filed by the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P(MD)Nos.267 & 268 of 2018 are closed.
