This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to dispose the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 01.09.2021 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

W.P.(MD)No.3229 of 2022 2.The petitioner aggrieved by the order issuing patta in favour of the respondents 4 to 12 has filed the statutory appeal under the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983, before the second respondent on 01.09.2021. He seeks early disposal of the said appeal. Hence, he has filed the present Writ Petition.

3.Heard Mr.V.Kannan, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.

4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's appeal, dated 01.09.2021 pending before the second respondent is disposed of expeditiously, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and the respondents 4 to 12, in whose favour presently, patta stands.

5.Accordingly, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 01.09.2021 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and the respondents 4 to 12.

6.With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
