O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition is filed for a direction to the second respondent to withdraw and transfer the entire investigation relating to Crime No.249 of 2013 on the file of the third respondent to the file of the fourth respondent.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have been cheated of a sum of Rs.10 lakhs by the accused, who induced them to pledge jewelery towards purchase of agricultural lands for banana cultivation. The money received through pledge had been taken away by the accused. He further submits that the case came to be registered only pursuant to the direction of this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD). No.6363 of 2014 dated 14.08.2013 and no progress has been made in the investigation.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that no progress has been made owing to the accused having absconded.
4. Considering the rival submissions, this Court disposes of the present Criminal Original Petition with a direction that the jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police shall monitor the investigation of the case and do the needful towards expeditious and early investigation. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
