ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and to file the final report in Crime No.197 of 2024 dated 22.09.2024.

2. According to the petitioner, she is the defacto complainant and she lodged a complaint on 09.09.2024 and based on his complaint, a case in Crime No.197 of 2024 dated 22.09.2024 has been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 115(2) and 351(2) of (BNS), 2023. and thereafter, the respondent police have not conducted proper investigation and have not filed any final report so far. Hence, this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that they are awaiting for the wound certificate from the medical authorities and hence seeks one month time to complete the investigation and to file the final report. 2/4

4. Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent, this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said deliberations, the criminal original petition is allowed. No costs.
