ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed for a direction to the learned Special Judge for TNPID Act cases, Madurai to expedite the trial proceedings in C.C.No.11 of 2014 and conclude the same within the time frame as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the accused have cheated the depositors to the tune of Rs.Two Crores. The respondent, after investigation, has filed final report in the year 2014 and the case is also taken on filed in C.C.No.11 of 2014. Subsequently, there is no progress which causes mental agony and hardship to the petitioner, who is one of the depositors.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Special Judge for TNPID Act cases, Madurai is directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.11 of 2014 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
