Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament from 27.02.2021 and 28.02.2021 day nights matches at Keelakuyilkudi, Nagamalaiputhukottai, Madurai District and permission for putting up speaker by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 10.02.2021.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken for final hearing.

2. Mr.R.Saravanakumar, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents.

3. On the side of the petitioner it is stated that the petitioner has been conducting Kabadi Tournament for the past several years and prayed for permission to conduct Kabadi Tournament on 27.02.2021 and 28.02.2021.

4.On the side of the respondents, it is stated that the petitioner has not approached the District Collector for permission as per G.O.Ms.No.654 of 2020, Revenue and Disaster Management (DMIV) Department, dated 21.11.2020. Permission for conducting Kabadi Tournament has to be obtained only from the District Collector and prayed the petition to be dismissed.

5. In the circumstances, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned District Collector for necessary permission. On such representation, the concerned District Collector is directed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

WP(MD)No.3873 of 2021 to decide the issue on the same date, in accordance with law. 6.With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
