ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking direction to the respondent police to complete the process of investigation in Crime No.382 of 2022 and to file final report within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered FIR in Crime No.382 of 2022. Sofar, seven witnesses have been examined and out of three vehicles one vehicle was seized and it has been produced before the concerned Court.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) undertakes to instruct the respondent Police to complete the investigation and to recover the remaining vehicles also.
4. The another grievance of the petitioner is that even though FIR has been registered against 20 unnamed persons and five named persons, the respondent Police is not taking any steps against the other persons. 2/4
5. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that details of further statement and identification of the other persons involved will be taken into account. He seeks five months time to complete the investigation and file final report.
6. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the respondent Police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.382 of 2022 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
