ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.12.2022 and to take appropriate action under the powers conferred under Sections 145(10) and 107 of Code of Criminal Procedure, in the light of the order passed by the second respondent, dated 03.01.2019.

2.It is brought to the notice of this Court that on account of dispute between two groups in a Village, a Peace Committee Meeting has been organized by the revenue authorities.

3.Under these circumstances, issuing a direction to merely consider the representation would not serve the purpose. It is for the parties involved to discuss the issues and arrive at a consensus in order to maintain peace and tranquility in the Village.

4.In view of the above, the direction as such sought for deserves no merit consideration. However, the competent authorities shall proceed with the peace talks between the groups and ensure that peace and tranquility are maintained in the locality.

5.With these observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
