RESPONDENT Criminal Miscellaneous Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith Crl.MP(MD)No.6543 of 2017 on the file of the High Court will be pleased to grant further six months time to final report in Crime No.22 of 2015 as ordered by this Honourable Court in Crl.O.P.No.20798 of 2016 dated 02.11.2016.

PRAYER IN CRL.OP(MD)No.20798/2016: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. Praying this this Hon'ble Court to direct the respondent to file final report in Crime No.22 of 2015 by doing proper and fair investigation within the stipulated period. Order : This Petition coming on for orders on this day upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.K.Anbarasan, GOVERNMENT ADVOCATE, Advocate(Crl.Side) on behalf of the State, and of Mr.J.Praveen, Advocate for the Respondent, this Court made the following Order:- This Criminal Original Petition is filed to grant further six months time to file a final report in Crime No.22 of 2015 as ordered by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.20798 of 2016, dated 02/11/2016. 2.Head the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the petitioner and the learned Counsel appearing for the respondent.

3.Though this Court earlier, by an order dated 02/11/2016, has given six months time to file a final report, the petitioner has come up with the present petition seeking further period of six months to fine the final report.

4.This Court is convinced that further time will be given in the interest of justice. Considering the nature of the case and the statement and the facts revealed from the affidavit filed in support of this petition, this Court is of the view that the petitioner, namely, the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Thoothukudi , is given further time of three months to file a final report in Crime No.22 of 2015, as directed by this Court from the date of receipt of a copy of this order .

5.Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
