ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent police to file final report in Crime No.1018 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the de facto complainant in this case and she lodged a complaint as against six persons and based on the complaint, FIR has been registered in Crime No.1018 of 2022 for the offences under Section 294(b), 420, 506(2) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. But no proper investigation was conducted and still the respondent police have not filed any final report. Hence, this petition.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint given by the de facto complainant, (i.e.,) petitioner herein, they registered a case in Crime No.1018 of 2022 and the case is under investigation and will complete the investigation within one month 2/4

4. The case is registered in the year 2022, so far the respondent has not completed the investigation within the statutory time and the case is pending for more than two and a half years. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation and to file final report, within one (1) month from the date of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
