ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register the settlement deed dated 05.12.2025 presented by the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2025.

2. Mr.K.S.Selvaganesan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent on either sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that when the petitioner presented the settlement deed dated 05.12.2025 for registration, the same was returned by the fourth respondent. Hence, the present petition.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that, in the instant case, since there was some error in the settlement deed presented by the petitioner, the same was returned for rectification of error. In the event, if the error is rectified and the document is presented, the fourth respondent will consider registration of the same.

6. In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has rectified the error in the settlement deed and prayed for appropriate orders.

7. Upon hearing either sides, it appears that, as there was some error in the settlement deed dated 05.12.2025, the fourth respondent returned the same to the petitioner for rectification of error. Now, according to the petitioner, the said error has been rectified. Under such circumstances, this Court directs the petitioner to present the settlement deed dated 05.12.2025 before the fourth respondent and on such presentation, the fourth respondent is directed to register the same, if it is otherwise in order. 3/5

8. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs. 06.02.2026 mbi To
