ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent for renewal of passport to the petitioner, based upon his application No. MD1076073913825 dated 12.12.2025

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that a criminal case is pending as against the petitioner in Crime No.46 of 2023 on the file of the second respondent police, which is calumniated in the filing of a charge sheet in C.C.No.116 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Peraiur.

3. Considering the aforesaid observations, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned trial Court seeking permission to go abroad. If such an application is filed by the petitioner, the learned trial Judge shall dispose of the same within a period of four weeks from the 2/4

date of filing of the application. Based upon the order to be passed by the learned trial Judge, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
