O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the first respondent to renew petitioner's passport and grant clearance to travel abroad, notwithstanding the pendency of criminal proceedings in Spl.S.C.No.54 of 2022 on the file of the I Additional District and Sessions Court, (PCR), Thanjavur.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner is implicated in a criminal case in Crime No.50 of 2016 on the file of the second respondent which is culminated in filing of the charge sheet in Spl.S.C.No.54 of 2022 on the file of the I Additional District and Sessions Court, (PCR), Thanjavur. 3.Though initially NBW was issued as against the petitioner, now the petitioner is regularly appearing after recalling NBW. 4.Considering the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned trial Court seeking permission to go abroad. In case, if such an application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks. Based upon the orders to be passed by the trial Judge, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law. 2/4

5.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
