The learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw this Criminal Original Petition. He also made an endorsement to that effect. However, he would submit that the Trial Court may be directed to expedite the trial, as the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case and has been facing prosecution for the past three years, and he is awaiting enrolment as a lawyer.

2. This Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Considering the request of the petitioner, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai, is directed to expedite the case, as only 11 witnesses have been cited by the first respondent police in the final report, and in any event, conclude the trial and dispose of the case within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
