PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.361 of 2005 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aundipatti.

This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.361 of 2005 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aundipatti.

2.When the matter was posted for admission 08.01.2015, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners took adjournment and the same was posted on 13.01.2015. When the matter was listed on 13.01.2015, at request of the petitioner, it was posted under the caption 'adjourned case'. Thereafter, the matter is pending for the past 4 years without even ordering notice or admitting by this Court.

3.Today, when the matter is called, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners simply seeks adjournment. It seems that the petitioners have no interest to proceed with the matter, further. More over, the case is of the year 2014.Therefore, this Court is of the view that the pendency of this criminal original petition would not serve for any purpose.

4.In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
