This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament from 02.02.2018 at 09.00 p.m. to 03.02.2018 at 11.30 p.m. in the Vanathu Chinnappar Kovil Thidal belongs to the Kallakudi Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District and permission for put up speaker by considering the petitioner's representations dated 17.01.2018 and 27.01.2018.

2.Heard, Mr.K.Palmurugan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Shanmuga Selvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the Villagers of the said Village. The villagers are conducting the Kabadi Tournament for the past several years and this year, they have decided to conduct the Kabadi Tournaments on 02.02.2018 and 03.02.2018 and for that, they have already given a representations dated 17.01.2018 and 27.01.2018 to the respondent, but, sofar, no order has been passed. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent has not raised any serious objection. 4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner, dated 17.01.2018 and 27.01.2018 and dispose of the same at early by keeping in mind the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and Ors, reported in 2001 - 1 - L.W. (Crl.) 233.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
