This writ petition has been filed to direct the fourth respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband's life and limb to lead their matrimonial life in a peaceful manner.
2.Heard, Mr.R.Senthilkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Shanmuga Selvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is a major lady and she has married one Sarathpandian, for that her parents are opposing. He further submitted that the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
petitioner's father is a retired teacher and he is giving threat to the petitioner and her husband as he will kill them and hence the petitioner gave a complaint before the fourth respondent on 27.01.2018, but so far no action has been taken and hence the petitioner is having apprehension that the petitioner and her husband may be killed by her father and hence she is seeking police protection.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader has submitted that the enquiry is still pending before the fourth respondent. 5.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the fourth respondent is directed to conduct the enquiry with regard to the complaint filed by the petitioner and if the complaint reveals any cognizable offence then he has to register a case and proceed further in accordance with law and also consider the petitioner's representation for giving police protection.
6.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
