This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament on from 03.02.2018 at 08.00 p.m to 04.02.2018 at 11.30 a.m situated at Public Play Ground (Pottal Ground), Sankarankovil, Tirunelveli District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.01.2018.

2.Heard, Mr.S.Mandhiralingeswaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Shanmuga Selvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the Villagers of the said Village. The villagers are conducting Kabadi Tournament for the past several years and this year, they have decided to conduct the Kabadi https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Tournament on 03.02.2018 and 04.02.2018 and for that ,they have already given a representation dated 27.01.2018 to the respondent, but, sofar, no order has been passed. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent has not raised any serious objection. 4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 27.01.2018 and dispose of the same at early by keeping in mind the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and Ors, reported in 2001 - 1 - L.W. (Crl.) 233.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
