ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to grant permission for construction of a church in R.S.No.182/8 of Simon Colony Revenue village, Kalkulam Taluk Kanyakumari District .

2.Heard Mr.C.T.Perumal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.Murugan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the third respondent. 3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner said to have filed an application seeking permission to construct prayer hall. Subsequently, the second respondent has also processed the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

application of the petitioner and forwarded the same to the third respondent by his letter dated 14.10.2017. Since no order has been passed so far, the present writ petition has been filed. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the application of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving notice to the petitioner as well as to the objectors, if any.

5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
