Respondents (The fifth respondent was impleaded in this petition vide order of this Court in W.M.P.(MD)No.7466 of 2018, dated 11.03.2019) PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to provide the alternate job in any other Government Departments within the time frame as may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to provide alternate job in any other Government Departments to the petitioner.

2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials on record.

3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was employed in the Co-operative Department in Sp.Spl.176, Sattur Cooperative Housing Society and due to financial crisis, the said Society was closed in the year 2017. Though the respondent society got a willingness letter dated 08.12.2017, from the petitioner for alternate job, the petitioner till date has not been provided with any employment. As the petitioner's representation, dated 11.01.2018 in this regard has not been considered so far, the present writ petition is filed. 4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits. 5.

Under such facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.01.2018, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law and also keeping in mind the willingness letter, dated 08.12.2017 of the petitioner, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
