ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent 1 and 2, to give adequate police protection on the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members based on the petitioner's Complaint dated 29.12.2024.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the Muthavalli of the Wakf properties namely Kattunaina Durga Wakf, the third respondent is no way connected with the said property, & he is the President of Navaf Pallivasal, Periyakulam. Now the third respondent, made threats to the petitioner and thereby he made a representation to the respondents on 10.01.2025 in person and thereafter no action was taken. Again, he sent a representation on 29.12.2024 and the same was assigned with C.S.R.No. 685 of 2024 and thereafter no action was taken and the same was also not considered by the respondents, therefore, he filed this Criminal Original Petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that they received the complaint of the

petitioner dated 29.12.2024 and the same has been assigned with C.S.R.No.685 of 2024 and it is under enquiry, & it will be completed within a period of one (1) week.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this Petition and without issuing notice to the third respondent, this Court is inclined to pass order as prayed for. The Prayer of the petitioner is to consider his representation dated 29.12.2024 for giving Police Protection to the petitioner. The respondents 1 and 2 also admitted that they already assigned a C.S.R.No.685 of 2024 and it is now under enquiry, therefore, this Court directs the second respondent to complete the enquiry within one (1) week from the date of this order.

In the result, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. 13.02.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes nst
