ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 08.11.2021 for the offences punishable under Section 392 IPC, in Crime No.215 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused waylaid the defacto complainant and snatched her gold chain. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that the learned Judicial Magistrate has already commenced the trial and examined all the witnesses except the Investigation Officer and the case stands posted to 22.02.2022 for examination of Investigation Officer. He would further submit that the petitioner is having 11 previous cases.

CRL OP(MD). No.3553 of 2022 5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence alleged against the petitioner and also the fact that the petitioner is having previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this point of time.

6.However, the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pudukkottai, is directed to dispose of the case within one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
