PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to modify the condition imposed in Crl.O.P(MD) No.23308 of 2022 dated 06.01.2023 directing the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Madurai to transfer an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupeess Two Lakhs Only) deposited by the petitioners in Crime No.506 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police into fixed deposit in anyone of the nationalized bank.

O R D E R

The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that in due compliance of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P(MD) No.23308 of 2022 dated 06.01.2023, the petitioners have surrendered and deposited a sum of Rs.1 lakh each to the credit of Crime No.506 of 2022 before the Judicial Magistrate No.2, Madurai. He would further submit that the said amount is lying in the account of the court and the amount may be re-deposited in any one of the nationalized banks under interest bearing Fixed Deposit Scheme and a direction may be issued in this regard.

CRL.M.P(MD)No.3038 of 2023 ''The amount of Rs.2 lakhs deposited to the credit of Crime No.506 of 2022 shall be re-deposited under any interest bearing Fixed Deposit Scheme in any one of the nationalized banks''
