Complainant PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.31 of 2024 and to file charge sheet within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.31 of 2024 and to file charge sheet within the period that may be stipulated by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the de-facto complainant and he gave a complaint before the respondent police, based on which, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.31 of 2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 120(B), 406, 420, 465, 468, 471 of IPC against the accused persons. After registering the case, the respondent police has not conducted proper investigation and the investigation is pending and so far they have not filed charge sheet. Hence, the present petition is filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the case is under investigation and the offences are arising out of records and therefore, there is a delay in obtaining the documents. However, the respondent police will complete the investigation within a period of three months. Page No. 2 of 4

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer in the petition and also the nature of the offence and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation and file a charge sheet, within a period of three months from the date of this order and no further time will be granted. 5.With the aforesaid observation and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
