This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first to fourth respondents to effect necessary changes in Column Nos.6 and 7 of the TSLR records pertaining to Plot Nos.7, 8, 9 and 10 situated in Ward No.AU, Block No.13, Old T.S.No. 153/2, New T.S.Nos.220, 225, 224 and 223, K.Sathanur Village, Ichakamalaipatti, Trichy, by reclassifying the land from 'Government Poramboke' to 'Ryotwari/House Site' by considering the petitioner's representations dated 10.05.2023, 21.11.2023 and 24.09.2025, in accordance with law.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he purchased the subject properties in the year 2009 by registered sale deeds. When the petitioner intended to alienate the said properties and approached the concerned Sub-Registrar for registration of the documents, he was informed that the survey numbers in which the properties are situated are reflected in the records as 'Government Poramboke' and therefore the documents could not be registered.
4. Since the classification is erroneous, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 10.05.2023 to the first respondent, a representation dated 21.11.2023 to the second respondent and another representation dated 24.09.2025. However, the said representations have not been disposed of till date. Therefore, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.
5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first, second, fourth and fifth respondents, on instructions, would submit that Page No. 3 of 6
the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2023 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the second respondent within a period of sixteen weeks.
6. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2023 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order.
