Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the entire records, connected with the detention order of the Respondent No.2 in Detention Order No.64/2018 dated 29.07.2018 and quash the same and direct the Respondents to produce the body or person of the detenu by name Thulasi, Son of Rajamani, aged about 37 years, now detained at Madurai Central Prison before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention, dated 29.07.2018 in Detention Order No.64 of 2018, detaining him as "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.4126 Home, Prohibition and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Excise (XIV) Department, dated 28.09.2018, and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, the petition is dismissed.
